One of the best players ever to come out of the Cardiff City academy is the Caerphilly-born legend that is Aaron Ramsey.
The midfielder broke into the Bluebird’s first team at the age of 16, becoming the club’s youngest ever player in the process.
After appearing in the FA Cup Final for Cardiff in a 1-0 defeat to Portsmouth in 2008, he left the club on a multi-million pound deal to Arsenal, Ramsey became a top Premier League player under the tutelage of Arsene Wenger.
He also had spells at Juventus, Nice and Rangers after leaving the Gunners, before returning to Cardiff in 2023 on a free transfer, playing for the Bluebirds for the first time one-and-a-half decades.
